Faded Spade Ink Deal With Rivers Casino & Resort in Schenectady

Does it matter what deck you use?

Picking the wrong one. Man, that’s like adultery, right there. Kissing and cuddling with a wrong-un underneath the moonlight.

The Rivers Casino and Resort in Schenectady, New York knows this, and that’s why they have jumped into bed with the The New Face of Cards – Faded Spade.

The NY poker room is the first in the state to take the vow to use Faded Spade decks on all 16-poker tables, both during cash games and tournaments. David Grubb, Rivers Casino & Resort Poker Manager, got a tad excited when he said the quality and design of Faded Spade are second to none, and that we are proud to work with Faded Spade to elevate our room to the next level, but we understand where he’s coming from. We are proud to call Rivers Casino & Resort a Faded Spade card room, said Tom Wheaton, CEO of Faded Spade.

It’s another significant manoeuvre in Faded Spade’s attempts to become the king, queen and everything in between of card decks in the universe. The ARIA Resort & Casino, Planet Hollywood and Peppermill Reno also use the decks, but it was the recent decision by Adam Pliska and the gang to make Faded Deck their preferred playing cards of the WPT that propelled Tom Wheaton’s baby into the big league.

Additional partners include the Heartland Poker Tour (HPT), Jason Somerville’s Run It Up (RUI), Matt Stout’s Charity Series of Poker (CSOP), and Matt Berkey’s Solve For Why Academy.

Nick Davidson Wins The Ameristar East Chicago Main Event

Nick Davidson needs to play more poker.

Get out of the house more often, man.

Davidson, who has just taken down the 554-entrant, $1,650 Heartland Poker Tour (HPT), Main Event at The Ameristar Hotel & Casino East Chicago, has three kids, with the eldest 3.5 years old, and his good lady has another bun in the oven. Incredibly, it’s the second time that Davidson has taken down this event, after beating 506-entrants to claim the $166,806 first prize two years ago.

It was an inexperienced final table with the only two peeps registering a dose of form worth sharing being Justin Lee who had finished 6/1287 in the $1,110 Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Main Event in Firekeepers Casino, Battle Creek for $43,641 in May, and Brian Thomas who finished ninth in this event last year for $15,597.
